UK Airwave shutdown extended... again!

Users in the UK regularly ask us how long Target Blu Eye remains usable in its current form. Many of our current and future users are still under the assumption that the Airwave network has had its day. The intention is that Airwave, the radio system with which the emergency services communicate with each other, will in time be replaced by the new LTE standard. There is a great deal of uncertainty about the date that Airwave will be disabled and which may leave Blu Eye useless. That is why potential customers all too often decide to postpone their purchase pending a system that can detect the new LTE standard.

In the leading trade journal “Critical Communications Today” of June 2019, industry experts explain why the introduction of the new English Emergency Services Network (ESN) has been delayed until December 2022. At the same time, The National Audit Office in the UK (NAO) is very skeptical about this new date and expect that, again, deadlines will not be met (relevant text is highlighted and can be found on page 15).

Why wait any longer for the government's bumbling? Make an appointment today with one of our dealers for the installation of your Target Blu Eye and enjoy the many benefits that Blu Eye has to offer every day in the coming years!
